Jose Garcia's Commitment Helps Keep Laredo Moving

At Texas First Rentals, Rental Coordinators play an important role in keeping daily operations moving and helping customers get the equipment and support they need. For Jose Garcia, Rental Coordinator at our Laredo, TX branch, that responsibility is something he takes seriously each day.

Jose enjoys the steady workflow that comes with his role, along with the opportunity to work closely with customers and build strong relationships with his peers. With his positive attitude and a solution-oriented mindset, he stays focused on contributing to the success of the team while continuing to grow both personally and professionally.

Values Based Leadership is an important part of Jose's approach to work. In his role, he believes all five values come into play, but commitment stands out the most. For Jose, that means bringing a caring attitude to the workplace, doing the right thing for peers and customers, working toward shared goals and continuing to get better every day. He sees the values as more than words. They are part of how he approaches everyday tasks and decisions, both personally and professionally.

One of the career accomplishments Jose is most proud of is opening and operating his own business. Although the venture did not continue, the experience taught him valuable lessons in leadership, perseverance and entrepreneurship. Those lessons continue to influence the way he grows in all aspects of his life.

Outside of work, Jose enjoys barbecuing, smoking meats and spending time with friends and family. During football season, he can often be found cheering on the New England Patriots and keeping up with his fantasy football team. Jose and his wife of 13 years have four children, two boys and two girls.
