Family, Service and Support within HOLT Group

Celebrating Freddie Ratcliff, Regional Service Manager in Burleson, this Father's Day

For Freddie Ratcliff, service has always been about more than solving problems. It is about supporting people.

Freddie serves as Regional Service Manager for Texas First Rentals at the Burleson Branch, where he helps support teams, customers and employees across the region. After years of experience in the service side of the business, he says one of the most rewarding parts of his role is being able to share what he has learned and help others succeed.

“What I enjoy most about my job is my team and the people I work with every day,” Freddie said. “I enjoy being able to provide support and share the knowledge I have gained through my years of experience. Helping others succeed and solving challenges is one of the most rewarding parts of my role.”

Freddie also values the sense of connection that comes with working for a family-owned organization. Even as HOLT Group continues to grow, he says that family atmosphere is still felt through the people and teams who work together every day.

That connection is especially meaningful for Freddie because his son, Craig Ratcliff, is also building his career within HOLT Group. Craig started a little more than three years ago as a Shop Technician in Cleburne. Today, he is serving customers in the field as a Field Service Technician 2 at the HOLT CAT Irving West location.

“I’m so proud of Craig. What has really impressed me is how fast he has adapted and developed into the technician he is today. I have given very little coaching and advice, so most of Craig’s success is his hard work and dedication,” Freddie said.

Outside of work, Freddie enjoys spending time with his family, especially outdoors. He and his wife, Dana, have been married for 34 years and have two sons. Their oldest son, David, works as an IT Technician for Crowley ISD, and his fiancée, Kristine, is a high school teacher with Frost ISD. Craig is married to his wife, Emily.

This summer, the Ratcliff family will welcome a new generation. Craig and Emily are expecting their first child, a baby boy, in July. He will also be Freddie and Dana’s first grandchild.

Freddie enjoys hunting with his sons, a tradition that gives them time away from the fast pace of everyday life and creates lasting memories together. He and Dana also enjoy quieter moments at home, whether that means sitting on the patio with coffee in the morning, relaxing in the evening while watching hummingbirds in the yard or working together in their vegetable garden.

When asked what one word his children would use to describe him, Freddie chose “supportive.”

“They know they can trust me, depend on me and count on me to be there for them no matter the situation,” Freddie said. “Being someone they can rely on is one of the things I value most as a father.”

This Father’s Day, we’re proud to recognize Freddie Ratcliff, a leader, teammate, father and soon-to-be grandfather whose example of support is felt at work, at home and within HOLT Group.
