Meet Brian Conner: Bringing Solutions to the Rio Grande Valley
Brian Conner has spent the last four years as an Outside Sales Representative for Texas First Rentals in Weslaco, and most days you'll find him on a jobsite instead of behind a desk. That's exactly how he wants it.
Before he got into the equipment world, Brian spent 14 years in produce sales. That work kept him tied to a desk, and he was ready for something that would get him outside and in front of people.
Now his days are built around customers across the Rio Grande Valley. Brian likes meeting people, learning what they do and figuring out how the right rental equipment can help them finish the job faster while saving money along the way. He also gets a front-row seat to the work itself.
“It's a really cool experience seeing an empty piece of ground become the next hospital, hotel or whatever it will be,” Brian says.
Values-Based Leadership shapes how Brian shows up for those customers. For him, the HOLT Values come down to being ethical and doing the right thing even when no one is looking. He also leans on being dynamic, especially when a customer needs something that isn't available. In those moments, Brian works the problem until he finds an option that keeps the job moving and keeps that customer working with us.
“For me the HOLT Values are how I go to work every day,” he says.
Off the clock, Brian's life centers on a busy household. He and his wife have five daughters, and some of their best time together is spent cooking as a family. The cooking doesn't stop there. Brian and his dad run a catering and competition barbecue team together, so he spends plenty of time around a smoker. When he can squeeze it in, he also likes to get away and go fishing.
Thank you for your dedication, Brian. We're proud to have you on the Texas First Rentals team!
