People, Purpose, and Progress: Sandi Hagen
Sandi Hagen brings curiosity, creativity, and a people-first mindset to her role as a Key Account Representative for Texas First Rentals in South Austin. Drawn early on to helping others and building strong relationships, Sandi found her path into sales nearly 12 years ago—and quickly discovered that construction was the right fit. The fast pace, constant problem-solving, and real-world impact of the work continue to motivate her, as no two days are ever the same.
For Sandi, construction is about far more than equipment. It's about relationships, clear communication, and delivering consistently for customers and teammates alike. She takes pride in being part of an industry that helps shape the infrastructure of our communities and values the opportunity to connect with people, learn their stories, and play a meaningful role in building something bigger than herself.
One of Sandi's most notable career accomplishments is being recognized with Caterpillar's National SAM of the Year award. Representing Texas First Rentals on a national stage was a meaningful moment, not only because of the performance behind it, but because it reflected the strength of the team she works alongside every day. Just as important to her is the ability to mentor others—sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and supporting the next generation of leaders in the industry. Building credibility and earning trust through preparation, consistency, and follow-through remains something she's especially proud of.
Women in Construction Week is an important reminder to Sandi of the opportunities available in a traditionally male-dominated field. With women making up less than 12% of the construction workforce, she believes visibility and encouragement matter. She hopes more women see construction as a career where they can grow, challenge themselves, and succeed in meaningful ways.
Texas First Rentals' values play a central role in how Sandi approaches both her work and her relationships. Doing the right thing, working hard, staying curious, and being dependable are principles she believes in well beyond the workplace. Living those values consistently is what builds long-term trust with customers, partners, and teammates.
Outside of work, family and relationships are at the heart of Sandi's life. She enjoys spending time with her husband, their dogs, and the family and friends who keep life full and grounded. A creative at heart, she loves cooking, decorating, floral design, writing, planning events, and tackling home projects. She's also drawn to new experiences—traveling, learning new skills, and stepping outside her comfort zone whenever possible. That same creativity and problem-solving mindset carries over into everything she does at work.
Texas First Rentals is grateful for Sandi's leadership, dedication, and the positive impact she makes for our customers, our team, and our company every day.
