At Texas First Rentals, our drivers are the heart of our operation, delivering equipment safely and reliably to customers every day. This National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we’re proud to highlight Andrew Jines, whose commitment, professionalism, and positive attitude make him an outstanding member of our team.
As a driver, Andrew thrives on the variety and challenge of the job. Every delivery brings him to a new place and a different situation, and he enjoys the problem-solving that comes with it. Being on the go, seeing new sites, and meeting those challenges head-on are all part of what he loves most about being a professional driver.
Being recognized during Truck Driver Appreciation Week is something Andrew doesn’t take lightly. While he’s grateful for the honor, he’s quick to point out that recognition should extend to all drivers. “We are out there doing whatever it takes to get the job done,” he says, proud to stand alongside his fellow team members.
For Andrew, what makes his job rewarding comes down to two things: the people he works with and the opportunity to get behind the wheel of new equipment. The camaraderie at his store creates a supportive environment that makes even the busiest days easier. And when he has the chance to operate a machine he’s never used before, it adds an extra layer of excitement to the work.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys time on his motorcycle, fishing, and being with his family. These passions give him balance and keep him grounded, whether he’s enjoying the open road, the quiet of a fishing trip, or the quality time that comes with family life.
Values-Based Leadership is also central to the way Andrew approaches his work. He makes it a point to treat both customers and coworkers with integrity, take pride in maintaining a clean and organized vehicle, and be dependable in all he does. Adapting to change and leading by example are ways he lives out those values every day.
